11/17/15: Why Charlie Sheen got HIV
SAVECALIFORNIA.COM NEWS RELEASE
November 17, 2015 -- For Immediate Release
Actor Charlie Sheen likely caught HIV from male-to-male sexual contact
Thomasson: "When Sheen had sexual liaisons with homosexuals and transsexuals, he opened himself to being infected with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS"
Sheen said that he does not know how he contracted the disease and balked at Lauer's question about engaging in high-risk behaviors. "You're talking about needles and that whole mess? No, definitely not."
CDC: US Sexually Transmitted Disease Epidemic Worsening, Nov. 17, 2015: A U.S. sexually transmitted diseases epidemic is increasing and the most common infection, chlamydia, has risen to record levels, government officials say. Reported cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis all increased in 2014.

Sacramento, California -- SaveCalifornia.com, a leading family values organization in California, says actor Charlie Sheen's public denial over the cause of his HIV infection must be corrected, so that fewer, not more, young people acquire HIV/AIDS through ignorance.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that HIV is primarily spread through "male-to-male sexual contact" and "anal sex" in particular.
CDC: Surveillance Report, Vol. 25, Diagnoses of HIV Infection in theUnited States and Dependent Areas, 2013
"Transmission category: From 2009 through 2013, among adult and adolescent males, the annual number of diagnosed HIV infections attributed to male-to-male sexual contact increased. The numbers of infections attributed to injection drug use, male-to-male sexual contact and injection drug use, or heterosexual contact decreased. Among adult and adolescent females, the numbers of infections attributed to injection drug use or heterosexual contact decreased. In 2013, among adult and adolescent males and females, the diagnosed infections attributed to male-to-male sexual contact (68%, including male-to-male sexual contact and injection drug use) and those attributed to heterosexual contact (25%) accounted for approximately 93% of diagnosed HIV infections in the United States."
[Note: This same 2013 report estimated that HIV was transmitted to male adults and male adolescents in these modes: male-to-male sexual contact 30,689 (81%), injection drug use 1,942 (5.1%), male-to-male sexual contact and injection drug use 1,270 (3.3%), heterosexual contact 3,887 (10.2%), other 99 (0.02%). When injection drug users are excluded (5.1%), around 95% of male HIV infections are sexually-transmitted, primarily through homosexual behavior.]
CDC: HIV Surveillance Special Report: Men Who Have Sex with Men, 20 U.S. Cities, 2011
"Approximately 1.1 million persons in the United States are living with HIV infection [1]. In 2010, the estimated number of new HIV infections was 47,500: of those, 63% were attributed to male-to-male sexual contact, 25% to heterosexual contact, 8% to injection drug use, and 3% to male-to-male sexual contact and injection drug use."[2] [Note: According to this CDC report, "All the participants had at least 1 male sex partner," including those males who "self-identified as heterosexual"]
"Among men whose most recent sexual encounter was with a main partner, 83% reported having anal sex, and 49% reported having anal sex without a condom during that encounter. Among men whose most recent sexual encounter was with a casual partner, 68% reported having anal sex, and 24% reported having anal sex without a condom during that encounter."
"Anal sex" is a top mode to transmit infections, including HIV, because of the rectum's vulnerability from trauma and the intestines' close proximity to veins:
Male Homosexual Behavior, Facts About Youth, American College of Pediatricians
"Anal intercourse is the sine qua non of sex for many gay men. Yet human physiology makes it clear that the body was not designed to accommodate this activity. The rectum is significantly different from the vagina with regard to suitability for penetration by a penis. The vagina has natural lubricants and is supported by a network of muscles. It is composed of a mucus membrane with a multi-layer stratified squamous epithelium that allows it to endure friction without damage and to resist the immunological actions caused by semen and sperm. In comparison, the anus is a delicate mechanism of small muscles that comprise an "exit-only" passage. With repeated trauma, friction and stretching, the sphincter loses its tone and its ability to maintain a tight seal. Consequently, anal intercourse leads to leakage of fecal material that can easily become chronic.
"The potential for injury is exacerbated by the fact that the intestine has only a single layer of cells separating it from highly vascular tissue, that is, blood. Therefore, any organisms that are introduced into the rectum have a much easier time establishing a foothold for infection than they would in a vagina. The single layer tissue cannot withstand the friction associated with penile penetration, resulting in traumas that expose both participants to blood, organisms in feces, and a mixing of bodily fluids.
"Furthermore, ejaculate has components that are immunosuppressive. In the course of ordinary reproductive physiology, this allows the sperm to evade the immune defenses of the female. Rectal insemination of rabbits has shown that sperm impaired the immune defenses of the recipient. Semen may have a similar impact on humans.
"The end result is that the fragility of the anus and rectum, along with the immunosuppressive effect of ejaculate, make anal-genital intercourse a most efficient manner of transmitting HIV and other infections."
Health Risks of the Homosexual Lifestyle, Facts About Youth, American College of Pediatricians
Common sexual practices among gay men lead to numerous STDs and physical injuries, some of which are virtually unknown in the heterosexual population. Lesbians are also at higher risk for STDs. In addition to diseases that may be transmitted during lesbian sex, a study at an Australian STD clinic found that lesbians were three to four times more likely than heterosexual women to have sex with men who were high-risk for HIV.
Transgenderism has the highest rate of new HIV infections:
CDC: HIV Among Transgender People
"The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported that the highest percentage of newly identified HIV-positive test results was among transgender people (2.1%). For comparison, the lowest percentages of newly identified HIV-positive test results were among females (0.4%), followed by males (1.2%)."
Why The CDC's Latest HIV Report Is So Alarming, Advocate, Jan. 8, 2014
"A December report by the Centers for Disease Control says that an estimated 27 percent of transgender women are HIV positive, and that HIV prevalence for transgender women is nearly 50 times as high as for other adults."
Charlie Sheen reportedly engaged in bisexuality -- male-to-male sexual contact -- including with transsexuals:
Porn star who had sex with Hollywood actor secretly battling HIV fears epidemic as she reveals he has slept with at least 50 'adult actresses' AND transsexuals, Daily Mail, Nov. 13, 2015: "He is bisexual too -- he would pay girls to bring him transsexuals to have sex with. ... He'd have a girl bring three at a time because if he didn't like them he wanted to have a choice."
Charlie Sheen AIDS cover-up, National Enquirer, Nov. 16, 2015: "He's slept with thousands of women -- and men!"
Charlie Sheen 'HIV Positive,' WND, Nov. 17, 2015: "Sheen's interview with Lauer follows weeks of reports by RadarOnline, the Sun and the Enquirer that a Hollywood star known for sleeping with adult film stars, prostitutes and transgender men tested positive for the virus in 2013."
"When Sheen had sexual liaisons with homosexuals and transsexuals, he opened himself to being infected with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS," said Randy Thomasson, president of SaveCalifornia.com, which promotes moral virtues for the common good. "No one should be in denial about the facts documented by the CDC -- that male homosexuality, bisexuality, and transsexuality is the highest risk and the most frequent transmitter of HIV."
"What's the lesson of Charlie Sheen?" Thomasson asked. "That for the sake of health and life, everyone should agree that sexual promiscuity and homosexual behavior invite infection and should be discouraged, and that marriage with fidelity between a husband and wife is the real 'safe sex' and should be promoted. These are the trustworthy facts that every teen and pre-teen should be taught."
